Estate agents are reporting a rise in demand for homes in countryside locations. This is because since the pandemic people have been on the hunt for more outside space.
Savills agents have said they’ve seen a 60% rise in interest for rental homes in the most desirable countryside areas. The new research by Savills, exclusive to The Telegraph, has unveiled the most desirable villages. Harpsden in Oxfordshire falls into this list.
Harpsden – Oxfordshire Village in Most Desired UK Locations
This South Oxfordshire village is a rural and semi-rural village and civil parish. It is located south of Henley-on-Thames in South Oxfordshire, England. In the village, the average property price is £1,307,182. The village was also deemed the county’s ‘poshest’ in a list compiled by the Telegraph. Harpsden has attracted the likes of Russell Brand and Mary Berry.

Harpsden was found in the most desired UK Locations list. However, another survey determined which inland towns and villages in Oxfordshire are the most popular places to live.
The first to make an appearance with a destination score of 79 per cent is Burford.
Burford earned its highest ranking in both the ‘attractiveness’ and the ‘shopping’ criteria. However, it scored the lowest for ‘peace and quiet’.
Further down the list was Woodstock with a destination score of 74 per cent.
It received 4 out of 5 stars for both ‘attractiveness’ and ‘tourist attractions’. However, it only 2 out of 5 stars for both ‘peace and quiet’ and ‘value for money’.
Lastly, towards the bottom, Henley-on-Thames is listed.
