About Michelle Niziol
Michelle is the founder and CEO of IMS Property Group, a multi-disciplinary property business supporting clients across mortgages, estate agency, lettings, insurance, portfolio building and investment.
Michelle
Michelle’s relationship with property started young. Growing up, Michelle saw first-hand how much stability a home provides, and how quickly that can feel under threat without the right support. Being almost homeless at 17, was an experience that gave her a resilience and a clarity of purpose that has driven everything since.
At 18, Michelle bought her first property with her now husband, beginning a journey that would take her from first-time buyer to the owner of a property portfolio by her mid-twenties.
Recognising how unnecessarily complicated and disjointed the property process could be, she trained as a mortgage broker and opened her own brokerage in 2005 and later went on to win Barclays Manager of the Month (voted for by top industry experts) as well as the ‘Top UK Broker’ award.
Michelle founded IMS Property Group in 2008 with a simple goal: to make property and finance clearer, better supported, and less stressful for everyone. What began as a single mortgage desk has grown into a group of seven companies, supporting more than 20,000 clients across every stage of the property journey.
In 2023 Michelle was named Family Business Entrepreneur for South East at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, and in 2025 Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the UK Small Business Awards.
